A Mighty Achievement

"Our Lord, grant us in our wives and our offspring the joy of our eyes, and make us leaders for those who guard against evil" (Quran 25:75).

"To learn, teach and preach is easy. To translate these teachings into action in ones own life is hard. But to influence the lives of others and to succeed in moulding the lives of those who come in contact with one’s life is the hardest and the most difficult of all; and indeed this is a mighty achievement."

A message from the Quran for those who do not practise what they preach:

"O you who believe, why say you that which you do not? It is most hateful in the sight of Allah that you say that which you do not" (61:2-3).

Een geweldige prestatie

"Onze Heer, schenk ons in onze echtgenotes en ons nageslacht de vreugde van onze ogen, en maak ons tot leiders voor degenen die zich hoeden voor het kwaad" (Koran 25:74).

"Het is makkelijk om te leren, te onderwijzen en te preken, maar het is moeilijk om deze leerstellingen in uw eigen leven in praktijk te brengen. Maar het beïnvloeden van het leven van anderen door uw eigen handelen, en zodoende vorm geven aan hun leven, is het moeilijkst van alles, en dit is inderdaad een geweldige prestatie."

Een boodschap uit de Koran voor hen, die niet naleven wat zij preken:

"O jullie die geloven, waarom zeggen jullie wat jullie niet doen? Allah vindt het zeer verfoeilijk dat jullie zeggen wat jullie niet doen" (61:2-3).
